We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Practice Plus Group, a leading provider of healthcare services to secure environments. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing medicines management services to assist in tackling identified inequalities within the prison population, contributing to diagnosis of care and treatment needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide medicines management services to assist in tackling identified inequalities within the prison population, contributing to diagnosis of care and treatment needs.
  • Assist with the implementation and development of pharmacy support to all wings in the prison, including counselling of patients on the correct use of medication.
  • Dispense medicines to agreed standards, calculating doses and quantities for supply where there is a specific requirement for accuracy.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
  • Relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.
