Main Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Health Nurse to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Acute Pain Service, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and guidance on pain management issues across all hospital sites.

Your main duties will include:

  • Providing professional and clinical leadership in pain management issues across all hospital sites.
  • Assessing current treatments and rationalising resources to improve clinical outcomes and cost effectiveness.
  • Developing and providing training and education programmes on pain management to all levels of staff and disciplines.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NMC Registration.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing.
  • Significant relevant post-registration experience with at least some experience as a Band 7 specialist nurse.
