We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Renal Transplant Specialist nursing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist care to patients preparing for kidney or kidney/pancreas transplantation.
Main Responsibilities- Provide specialist information and counselling to patients regarding the transplant work-up process, the transplant process, and aftercare.
- Manage a caseload of patients, including provision of information, counselling, requesting and coordinating required investigations, accurate recording of data, and timely listing on the National Transplant Waiting List.
- Work independently, using your own initiative to meet the changing needs of the service.
- Registered Nurse (Level 1) qualification.
- Diploma level education or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years recent experience at Band 5 or above within renal nursing.
- Access to the NHS Pension Scheme.
- 27 days holiday rising to 33 days (depending on NHS Trust service).
- A generous relocation package of up to 30% of salary (capped at £18k) to support with relocation expenses for hard to fill positions where relocation would be an expectation to undertake the role fully.
