The Project Manager for Outage Operations will report directly to the Outage Group Head, ensuring the successful execution of all facets of their designated project(s). This role is crucial for maintaining safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency.

This position is particularly suited for a seasoned Project Manager with a track record of coordinating teams, delivering projects within stringent timelines, and effectively communicating progress to essential stakeholders.

Compensation, Benefits, and Workplace Culture

We offer a competitive salary range from £40,069 to £71,779, with terms governed by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. The initial salary will be influenced by your current earnings, skills, experience, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Outage Management Group Head, your responsibilities will include:

Identifying, implementing, and adhering to relevant company safety, environmental, and quality procedures, alongside legislative and regulatory requirements. Establishing the baseline Scope, Quality, and Schedule for projects, ensuring accurate representation in company reporting tools. Collaborating with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to devise optimal solutions that safely meet or exceed project timelines and quality standards. Securing necessary resources and maintaining the competence of assigned personnel, promptly addressing any shortfalls or issues within the project team. Implementing effective scope control processes when significant changes to project scope, schedule, or costs arise. Maximizing operational expenditure (OpEx) and facilitating the sharing of lessons learned throughout all project phases. Conducting effective communication with stakeholders regarding project performance, issues, concerns, and risks through established reporting mechanisms. Leading and mentoring the project team (including temporary staff) to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of solutions that align with project cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks. Striving for excellence in Safety, Quality, Forecasting, Time, and Cost management.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of HNC qualification and preferably hold a degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Professional qualifications such as Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, ideally APM/PMQ or RPP/PPQ, would be advantageous.

A proven history of managing and delivering projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, particularly in complex, multidisciplinary environments, is essential.

Familiarity with HSE and CDM legislation, as well as proficiency in scheduling, programming, and risk management tools, is desirable.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.
