Role Overview
The Project Manager for the Outage Department will report directly to the Outage Group Head, taking full responsibility for the successful execution of their designated project(s). This includes a focus on safety, quality, scheduling, and cost efficiency.

Compensation and Workplace Culture
We offer a competitive salary range from £40,069 to £71,779, with terms governed by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. Your starting salary will be influenced by your current salary, skills, experience, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Outage Management Group Head, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality procedures, as well as legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Establishing the foundational Scope, Quality, and Schedule for projects, ensuring accurate representation in company reporting tools.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to deliver optimal solutions safely and efficiently, meeting or exceeding project timelines and quality standards.
- Securing necessary resources and maintaining the competence of assigned personnel, promptly addressing any shortfalls or issues within the project team.
- Implementing effective scope control processes when significant changes to project scope, schedule, or costs arise.
- Maximizing operational expenditure efficiency and sharing lessons learned throughout all project phases.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders regarding project performance, issues, concerns, and risks through established reporting mechanisms.
- Leading and mentoring the project team, including temporary staff, to ensure the safe and timely delivery of solutions that align with project baseline requirements.
- Striving for excellence in Safety, Quality, Forecasting, Time, and Cost management.
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess at least a HNC qualification and preferably a degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or an equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
Professional qualifications such as Chartered Engineer status or APM/PMQ or RPP/PPQ are advantageous.
A proven track record in managing and delivering projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, particularly in complex multi-disciplinary environments, is essential.
Familiarity with HSE and CDM legislation, along with proficiency in scheduling, programming, and risk management tools, is desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for success in this role.
