Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the provision of a specialized pharmaceutical service to patients, ensuring high standards of care.

Job Responsibilities

As the Senior Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive pharmaceutical service that is safe and effective.
  • Clinically reviewing prescriptions and providing expert clinical advice.
  • Supervising the training and development of pharmacy staff, including students and trainees.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • MPharm or equivalent clinical qualification.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Membership in professional organizations such as RPS, UKCPA, or BOPA.

Desirable:

  • Leadership or management qualifications.
  • Registered prescriber status.

Experience Requirements

Essential:

  • Understanding of NHS funding mechanisms and experience in financial oversight.
  • Experience in delivering postgraduate education and training.
  • Expertise in clinical knowledge relevant to the specialty.

Skills and Competencies

Essential:

  • Ability to monitor service standards and drive performance improvements.
