This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the marketing efforts for a 40M turnover international business, working with major premium automotive brands to ensure quality control and cutting-edge service solutions throughout the manufacturing supply chain.
As a key member of the executive team, you will have the autonomy to shape and grow the future of the marketing function, with clear visibility across the business in adding commercial value and contribution.
The Group Marketing Manager reports to the CEO and is responsible for implementing group-wide marketing activities and supporting sales and business development initiatives through market research, communications, and presentations.
The role will be flexible depending on market conditions and specific company requirements, but there are several core elements:
- Brand Enhancement: Implement marketing actions to enhance brand reputation and familiarity.
- Agency Management: Manage 3rd party agencies, including the PR agency, to provide cost-effective actions.
- Digital Marketing: Develop targeted and efficient social media and email campaigns.
- New Business Development: Support new business development initiatives, including a review of the website and content collateral.
- Presentation Development: Develop presentations as required to support sales and corporate initiatives.
- Market Research: Support the diversification strategy by conducting research into new sectors and business propositions.
- Client Engagement: Develop and implement a strategy for engagement with major clients, relevant industry networks, and press, supported by a series of events.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that brand and marketing actions are consistent across the European Group.
This is a hands-on and flexible role where you will not only implement marketing programs but also support cross-functional teams focused on developing new automotive business and delivering the diversification strategy.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strategic Marketing Experience: Ability to create, shape, and deliver the strategic marketing plan.
- Commercial Acumen: Commercial ROI-focused experience.
- Digital Channel Expertise: Strong digital channel experience.
- Marketing Program Development: Experience of implementing cost-effective and targeted marketing programs.
- Social Media and Network Skills: Strong social media and network skills.
- Coordination and Communication: Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Analysis and Attention to Detail: Good analysis skills with a strong attention to detail and mindset to meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficient at PowerPoint and Word, and ideally familiar with Microsoft BI.
- CRM Experience: CRM experience is desirable, but more important is the ability to quickly learn new systems.
The role is based in Head Office, Birmingham, UK, with the occasional need to travel.
