GMP Recruitment Ltd is excited to collaborate with a distinguished engineering firm that operates within the aerospace and defense sectors.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to become a vital part of their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our client is a leader in manufacturing, providing services across various industries. They are experiencing significant growth and are looking to expand their workforce.


This role involves working from Monday to Thursday, 07:30 am to 04:00 pm, with a Friday early finish at 01:00 pm, offering a competitive salary of up to £40,000, depending on experience.


The Quality Assurance Engineer will collaborate closely with the QHSE Manager and will be tasked with developing and spearheading quality enhancement initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include active participation in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring that all quality standards are comprehended and executed, which includes the creation of downstream Quality Assurance documentation and engaging in third-party supplier audits.


Key Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Engineer:

  • Develop quality assurance documentation such as First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Quality Plans.
  • Utilize quality methodologies and tools including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and 8D problem-solving.
  • Conduct Quality Control assessments.

Root Cause Analysis:
Identify and resolve quality-related challenges.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain comprehensive quality records.
  • Manage Supplier Quality through audits and oversight.
  • Actively engage in the NPI process to ensure all quality requirements are recognized and implemented, including the generation of downstream Quality Assurance documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of HNC qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
  • Ideally, possess skills in Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming (Software - Aberlink).
  • An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
