Our esteemed client, a prominent provider of engineering solutions, is seeking to enhance their well-established workforce. They are offering an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to become part of their dynamic team.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with Operations/Shop Floor teams, Customers, and Suppliers to ensure the seamless execution of all quality processes.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a Quality Engineer capacity, demonstrating a robust background in spearheading quality enhancement initiatives and engaging in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.


Primary Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer:
  • Expertise in employing quality methodologies and tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and 8D problem-solving.
  • Thorough comprehension of the quality components within the NPI framework.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing schematics, including geometric tolerances.
  • Develop and oversee quality assurance documentation, such as First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Quality Plans.
  • Ideally experienced in CMM programming (Aberlink software).
  • Familiarity with the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

Essential Skills of a Quality Engineer:
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance role, preferably within a machine shop environment and in industries such as aerospace, defense, or nuclear.
  • Minimum HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
  • Trained External Auditor; LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings, including geometric tolerances.
  • Experience in participating in or leading third-party supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
