Location: Tewksbury

Compensation: Up to £38k per annum

Our esteemed client, a prominent provider of engineering solutions, is seeking to enhance their well-established workforce. They present an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to become a vital part of their expanding team.

In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with Operations and Shop Floor teams, as well as Customers and Suppliers, to ensure the seamless execution of all quality processes.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a Quality Engineer position, demonstrating a robust background in spearheading quality enhancement initiatives and engaging in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in employing quality tools and methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and 8D problem-solving.
  • Thorough comprehension of the quality components within the NPI framework.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze manufacturing drawings, including geometric tolerances.
  • Development and management of quality assurance documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Quality Plans.
  • Preferably skilled in CMM programming (Aberlink software).
  • Familiarity with the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

Essential Skills:
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance role, ideally within a machine shop setting and sectors such as aerospace, defense, or nuclear.
  • Minimum HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
  • Trained External Auditor; LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings, including geometric tolerances.
  • Experience in leading or participating in third-party supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
