Senior Commercial Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial relationship with clients, leading and mentoring staff, and developing and implementing commercial strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the commercial interests of the delivery team to ensure they are protected at all times.
- Lead the commercial relationship with clients, including negotiating contract agreements and managing potential onerous contractual obligations.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies for pre and post tender, including quantifying and costing of infrastructure/M&E works.
- Identify and manage commercial risk on new and existing contracts, and ensure compliance with all safety initiatives.
- Prepare and implement contract management processes, including providing advice on contractual matters and formulating contractual/legal correspondence.
- Work with Sector Managers/Directors to ensure projects exceed commercial targets, and develop, finalise and present accurate Management Information (MI) to senior management.
- Liaise with the Procurement team for supply chain engagement and subcontract administration.
- Proven track record in client management, stakeholder management and problem solving.
- Relevant Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Thorough knowledge of forms of contract including NEC.
- Experience working for a main contractor, within the energy sector preferable.
