We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Health Nursing Team Manager to lead and inspire our team of public health nurses. In this vital role, you will play a key part in safeguarding children and young people within our community.

As a Public Health Nursing Team Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of the nursing team, ensuring they deliver high-quality care and support to families. You will also work closely with other agencies to coordinate services and promote the well-being of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical guidance and mentorship to the nursing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote child protection and safeguarding within the community.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure seamless delivery of services and support to families in need.
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of staff and materials to meet service demands.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A strong understanding of child protection principles and legislation.
  • Proven experience in managing and supervising a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to working collaboratively with families and other agencies.

Qualifications

  • SCPHN (HV or School Nurse) qualification at degree level.
  • Registered Nurse or Midwife.
  • Mentor/practice assessor qualification.
  • Post SCPHN registration experience.
