SHE Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled SHE Advisor to join our team at Scott Bader. As a key member of our UK Operation, you will be responsible for advising on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate and practical SHE advice and support to facilitate adherence to Group and Site requirements, certified management system standards, relevant legislative requirements, and reporting commitments.
- Coach and mentor colleagues to drive excellent SHE performance, encourage employee engagement in SHE activities, and hold regular meetings with the site SHE Consultative Committee to support ongoing SHE projects and improvement plans.
- Take ownership of coordinating occupational and environmental monitoring programmes, such as dust and fume monitoring, noise assessments, and arranging third-party emissions monitoring in line with Environmental Permitting requirements.
- Support the site leadership team in undertaking and reviewing all relevant risk assessments for the site, including general task assessment, ergonomic assessments, CoSHH, and DSE.
- Support the internal auditing programme for the site to ensure maintenance of associated accreditation and compliance with site SHE policies and procedures.
- We are looking for a qualified SHE professional with a NEOBSH Diploma (or equivalent) and a recognised environmental qualification, such as IMEA or NEBOSH.
- You should have a strong ability to record, monitor, and update data clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Experience in carrying out SHE activities and working in a chemical or other manufacturing industry is essential.
- You should be comfortable working with and communicating with all levels within an organisation.
- Previous experience in investigating accidents and incidents, identifying root causes, and recommending SMART corrective and preventative actions is desirable.
