SHE Advisor

As our new SHE Advisor, you’ll be advising our UK Operation on all aspects of health, safety and environmental management.


You’ll have the opportunity to review, create and implement key SHE policies and procedures on site in a forward thinking and developing SHE environment.


You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of SHE related training materials. Including Permit to Work, Chemical Awareness and regular new starter inductions.


Some of your key responsibilities:

  • You’ll provide accurate and practical SHE advice and support to facilitate adherence to Group and Site requirements, certified management system standards, relevant legislative requirements and reporting commitments.
  • You will be providing coaching and mentoring to all involved parties to drive excellent SHE performance alongside encouraging employee engagement in SHE activities and hold regular meetings with the site SHE Consultative Committee to support ongoing SHE projects and improvement plans.
  • You’ll take ownership of the coordination of occupational and environmental monitoring programmes such as dust and fume monitoring, noise assessments and arranging of third-party emissions monitoring in line with Environmental Permitting requirements.
  • You will support the site leadership team in undertaking and the review of all relevant risk assessments for the site, including general task assessment, ergonomic assessments, CoSHH and DSE.
  • You’ll support in the internal auditing programme for the site to ensure maintenance of associated accreditation and compliance with site SHE policies and procedures.



What do I need to be successful in this role?

  • We’d love you to be qualified with NEOBSH Diploma (or equivalent), a recognised environmental qualification e.g. IMEA or NEBOSH.
  • You have a real strong ability to record, monitor and update data clearly, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • You are experienced in carrying out SHE activities and working in chemical or other manufacturing industry.
  • You’re comfortable working with and communicating with all levels within an organisation.
  • You have previous experience in investigating accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending SMART corrective and preventative actions.
