Job Summary

The Director of Property Management Accounts will oversee the financial operations related to their property management services, ensuring accuracy in budgeting, reporting, and service charge management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of annual accounts for both residential and commercial properties, in line with RICS guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Oversee service charge budgeting and reconciliation, providing full transparency to leaseholders and landlords.
  • Ensure all service charge accounts adhere to relevant legislation such as the Landlord and Tenant Act, with strict compliance to audit and certification requirements.
  • Act as the primary financial contact for property owners and leaseholders, ensuring excellent service delivery, resolving queries related to service charges, and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Lead and mentor the property management accounts team, fostering professional growth while maintaining high standards of performance and compliance.
  • Drive the use of digital tools to streamline financial processes, improve service transparency, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Work with the legal team to ensure all financial processes, including tax filings and reserve fund management, are in full compliance with UK law and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management accounting, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Relevant accounting degree would be preferred but not essential.
