About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and hard-working Learning Support Assistants to join our team at Activate Learning. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism and other associated difficulties on courses designed for those with Autism and associated difficulties or supporting students to access their course.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate individual learning programmes to meet the needs of learners
  • Provide support to learners in small groups and 1-1 activities
  • Facilitate learning using creative and purposeful lesson planning in collaboration with the ASC Coordinators
  • Support learners to access learning on their course within the mainstream learning environment and off-site activities
  • Personal care may form part of the duties, with training provided
Requirements
  • Resilience, motivation, initiative, and patience are essential for this role
  • Good communication skills to work with tutors and the co-ordination team
  • A willingness to learn about Autism and other associated difficulties is essential
