About the Role


Junair Spraybooths Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Apprentice. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating machine tools, maintaining equipment, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities


• Operate CNC Punches, CNC Press Brakes, Rollers, Lockforming Equipment, and Hand Tools to produce high-quality metal parts.
• Maintain machine tools, hand tools, and other manufacturing-related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols and wearing provided PPE.
• Participate in training programs, such as LEAN manufacturing courses, to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Execute responsibilities in a lawful and ethical manner, in accordance with your contract of employment and company staff handbook.
• Work with your line manager to further your professional development, including performance appraisal and identifying training needs.
• Perform tasks such as moving raw materials, breaking out machined parts, and sharpening tools.
• Proactively maintain machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Lift and carry heavy items, and program input with the CPU control unit.
• Read engineering drawings and measure parts against loading lists and drawings.
• Work independently and collaboratively with team members to achieve manufacturing tasks.
• Follow production schedules using loading lists and operate punch machines to cut and form metal parts.

Requirements


• Learn from team members and their experience in field engineering and warehousing.
• Support team members with safety and production-related activities.
• Work with senior management to prepare a safety strategy for the business, including budgets and costings.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as part of the management team.
