Job Responsibilities
- Operate machine tools, including CNC Punches, CNC Press Brakes, Rollers, Lockforming Equipment, and Hand Tools, to manufacture metal parts of varying thickness and length.
- Maintain machine tools, hand tools, and other manufacturing-related equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety rules, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in training programs, such as LEAN manufacturing courses, to enhance professional development and competence.
- Work collaboratively with the line manager to identify and meet training needs, ensuring compliance and competence.
- Perform tasks such as moving raw materials, breaking out machined parts, and sharpening tools, as required.
- Conduct proactive maintenance of machines and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Lift and carry heavy items, and operate punch machines to cut and form metal parts.
- Read engineering drawings and measure parts against loading lists and drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Work independently and collaboratively with team members to carry out manufacturing tasks and meet production schedules.
Requirements
- Learn from experienced team members and their expertise in field engineering and warehousing.
- Support team members with safety and production-related activities.
- Contribute to the development of a safety strategy for the company, including budgeting and costings.
