We are seeking a skilled and innovative Ophthalmology Consultant to enhance our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will contribute your expertise in ophthalmology procedures, ensuring the delivery of exceptional clinical care.

Main Responsibilities

As a Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  1. Providing expert clinical opinions on a variety of ophthalmic conditions.
  2. Conducting a range of ophthalmology procedures, adhering to established protocols.
Key Skills Required

You should possess a high level of proficiency in both operative and non-operative techniques, including:

  1. Slit-Lamp examination
  2. Gonioscopy
  3. Fundoscopy
  4. Tonometry
  5. Refraction

Additionally, you must demonstrate advanced surgical skills in:

  1. High Volume Phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia (essential)
  2. Eyelid surgery
  3. Laser treatment
Qualifications
  • Current GMC registration
  • Specialist register listing
Experience
  • Significant experience in the field of ophthalmology
