Job Description

Taylor Root is pleased to be working with a leading global marketing and technology enterprise to help them recruit an Interim Senior Data Protection Counsel on a 12-month fixed term contract.

As a key member of the group legal team, you will have the opportunity to shape, mature, and embed the organization's privacy compliance framework, ensuring the effective management of complex data protection issues.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on a wide range of privacy matters, including GDPR compliance and data protection regulations.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to further the culture of privacy by design and default.
  • Supporting business areas in the development and implementation of data protection policies, standards, and controls.
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Qualified solicitor (minimum 7 years PQE) with a successful track record in GDPR privacy law.
  • Experience working in a large global organization, preferably in the technology sector.
  • A keen interest in and experience of working in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.

Ad Tech and Machine Learning experience are highly desirable but not essential for this role.
