Computing Specialist

Role Overview
OCN London is seeking a Computing specialist to contribute to the work of the Access to HE team. As an external moderator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and validity of Access to HE Diploma courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mid-year and final moderation visits to Access to HE providers to ensure the operation and assessment of courses are valid, reliable, and fit for purpose.
- Participate in training sessions to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Collaborate with the Access to HE team to develop and implement quality assurance strategies.
- Contribute to the development of Access to HE Diplomas, including producing exemplar assessment materials and participating in unit reviews and validation panels.
Requirements
- Sound understanding of the Access to HE Diploma and its requirements.
- Relevant degree in Computing or a related subject area, or significant industrial or professional experience.
- Experience of teaching Computing or a related subject area at Level 3 or above.
- Commitment to equality of opportunity and widening participation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proven organisational ability, and report writing skills.
