About the Role
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Audit and Accounts Semi-Senior to join their team in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a passion for accounting and finance to work with a reputable firm that values career progression and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory, management, and limited company accounts, as well as VAT and corporate tax returns.
- Assisting in all areas of an audit from planning through to completion, including completing high-quality audits for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Active role in the ongoing training of junior members, reporting into seniors/managers, and studying for professional qualifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in an audit team, with exposure to all three aspects of an audit and experience in preparing accounts.
- AAT/ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create and develop professional relationships with clients.
- Strong IT skills, specifically with Xero, Sage, Excel, QuickBooks, and other accounting/tax software.
