Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Nurse Manager

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Nurse Manager to join our team at Brainkind. As a Senior Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants to ensure the effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for service users.
  • Ensure that all service users have the opportunity to participate fully in the care planning and review process.
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate and appropriate daily staff cover by planning an effective duty rota and participating in the provision of out-of-hours clinical support.
  • Manage and assess risk within the area of responsibility, ensuring adequate measures are in place to protect staff and service users.
  • Contribute to the continuing development of nursing care and services offered to service users and the smooth running of the Service.
  • Promote, demonstrate, and maintain high standards of care delivery according to NICE guidelines and the Brainkind Quality Governance Policy.
  • Responsible for providing support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to other team members as appropriate.
  • Produce accurate, timely, and complete records of service user consultation, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain an understanding of and act in accordance with all Brainkind policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration experience in the clinical field.
  • Completion of NMC recognised accredited mentor training or willingness to undertake.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector.
