Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Year to join our team at Aston Education. As a Head of Year, you will play a strategic lead in maintaining high standards and aspirations for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement by coordinating intervention strategies and ensuring pupils achieve to their best ability.
  • Lead the pastoral support for the Year Group, working with Form Tutors and other internal and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Good honours degree in a relevant discipline with relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience of holding a curriculum and/or pastoral responsibility
  • Experience and ability to teach your subject at KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • An outstanding classroom practitioner with an excellent track record of progress and results
  • Proven track record of raising educational standards and achievement
  • Understanding how to analyse and use data effectively
