Job Description

As an Amazon Area Manager at Little Giggles Private Day Nursery, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) responsibilities for the sites you manage. This includes:

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans), SENDIFs (Special Educational Needs and Disability Information Forms), Four + 1s, and Early Intervention measures are in place for children with SEND.
  • Managing SEND spend from local authority payments.
  • Registering new children with SEND and ensuring all necessary measurements are in place for their start.
  • Delivering education programs as per policy.
  • Observing staff members with managers using the Ofsted inspection handbook and taking actions where necessary.
  • Staying up-to-date with childcare and inspection legislation changes and communicating them to all managers.
  • Attending nursery board meetings and providing or helping with supporting documentation as needed.
  • Organizing a policies and procedures auditing process.
  • Handling expedited nursery complaints and communicating outcomes to the nursery director.
  • Auditing the effectiveness of curriculum leads and providing additional training if required.
  • Attending additional training relevant to your role.
  • Working in partnership with local authorities and attending meetings as needed.
  • Attending Ofsted inspections and supporting where needed.
  • Communicating with Ofsted and local authorities on required information.
  • Auditing fire evacuations and mentoring the process if needed.
  • Auditing indoor and outdoor equipment and communicating with the nursery director.
  • Helping prepare settings for Ofsted inspections.
  • Assisting in writing and planning new procedures as needed with the nursery director.
  • Helping devise waiting plans if occupation is reached within settings.
