About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our EHV Cables projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of these projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver EHV Cables projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements and company objectives.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver projects successfully.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring they are aligned with company goals and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Engineering qualification (HND/HNC) or equivalent industry track record.
  • Project management qualification (APM or similar).
  • Understanding of engineering principles, construction design management (CDM) guidelines, and working knowledge of cabling installation techniques.
  • Recognized SHE qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH).
  • Experience of working with NGED, SSEN, NGET, and other distribution network operators.
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness, including experience of managing design requirements for cabling projects and commercial budgets.
  • Ability to lead and build project teams, develop and manage good working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to proactively resolve site issues.
  • Ability to work away from home when required and hold a full driving license.
