About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our EHV Cables projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of these projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver EHV Cables projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet the required technical and commercial standards.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver projects successfully.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and taking corrective action as necessary.
Requirements
  • Engineering qualification (HND/HNC) or equivalent industry track record.
  • Project management qualification (APM or similar).
  • Understanding of engineering principles, construction design management (CDM) guidelines, and working knowledge of cabling installation techniques.
  • Recognised SHE qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH).
  • Experience of working with NGED, SSEN, NGET, and other distribution network operators.
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness, including experience of managing design requirements for cabling projects and commercial budgets.
  • Ability to lead and build project teams, and develop and manage good working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to proactively resolve site issues.
  • Ability to work away from home when required and hold a full driving license.
