We invite you to take on a pivotal role in steering engineering and construction initiatives within the UK’s transmission and distribution sector, focusing on the journey towards net zero by 2050. At Wood Transmission & Distribution Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager with expertise in underground cabling projects.

This position entails managing project execution and delivery, ensuring that all projects are carried out safely, within financial constraints, and on time. You will be responsible for aligning project activities with the objectives of Wood Transmission & Distribution and our clients, while upholding the highest standards of quality throughout.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading project teams on cabling initiatives
  • Strong capabilities in program and project management
  • Experience in managing design specifications and commercial budgets for cabling projects

Key Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification (HND / HNC) or equivalent industry experience
  • Project management certification from the Association for Project Management (APM) or a similar body
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, Construction Design Management (CDM) guidelines, and cabling installation techniques
  • Recognized safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
  • Experience collaborating with Distribution Network Operators
  • Strong understanding of commercial and contractual matters
  • Proven ability to lead and develop project teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective issue resolution
