Midwife Leadership Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced clinical midwife to join our team as a Practice Development Midwife. This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year, working part-time (18.75 hours per week).
The postholder will provide leadership and clinical advice to support and promote excellence in safe, evidence-based practice for our international midwives. They will assist the service in supporting our international midwives in clinical practice, developing their confidence and competence, as well as their transition to working in the UK.
The postholder will work closely with the Practice Development Team, providing teaching, support, and pastoral care to Internationally Educated and Recruited Midwives (IEM) throughout their pre-registration and Preceptorship period.
In addition, the postholder will support the Maternity unit in its training and development programmes for all clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and clinical advice to support and promote excellence in safe, evidence-based practice for international midwives.
- Assist the service in supporting international midwives in clinical practice, developing their confidence and competence, and their transition to working in the UK.
