Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Building Surveying and Dilapidations to join our team at TFT Consultants. As a key member of our Built Asset and Engineering and Sustainability division, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and development of our dilapidations service line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the dilapidations service line, driving improvements to working practices and promoting the service line externally to new and existing clients.
  • Develop and deliver against a business plan for dilapidations across TFT, working closely with the dilapidations Senior Director.
  • Manage and drive TFT's dilapidations, bringing a profile of technical strength and commercial excellence to complement the existing team.
  • Support the management and development of the technical team to deliver quality dilapidations services to existing and new clients.
  • End-to-end building surveying delivery, achieving performance targets and liaising with Service Hub Leaders to align services with strategic goals and performance standards.

Requirements

  • Hands-on high-quality delivery of technical services, demonstrating expertise in dilapidations.
  • Gain client trust with regard to commercial confidentiality and be a direct contact for instructions.
  • Existing building surveying and dilapidations client base with potential to generate new work and introductions.
  • Attain financial targets and support and manage the performance of others.
  • Inspire others to achieve, and help in their development, through mentoring, coaching and achieving engaging appraisal discussions.
  • Demonstrate excellent team skills, embracing the support and expertise of the wider TFT business.
  • Prioritise work effectively to enable quality of work and wellbeing for self and team.
  • Risk-manage through best practice aligned with TFT Risk Management Guidance protocol.
  • Confident and concise communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Be aware of the latest commercial property challenges technically and commercially.
  • Identify areas of personal development to enhance performance.
  • Be aware of the latest TFT research on Redefining Building Performance, and such other industry/TFT research that is relevant to clients.
