Job Opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor

Calibre Search is pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a thriving Building Surveying Practice based just outside of Birmingham.

This Practice has undergone significant growth due to their success in opening a new office, and they are now seeking a strategic hire to bring in either an experienced Associate Building Surveyor or an ambitious Senior Building Surveyor looking for increased responsibility and progression.

The successful candidate will have full support from the Practice and other Directors of the business as they progress within the company, with achievable and realistic targets to help them advance towards Director level.

The role is heavily focused on the education sector, with a strong emphasis on schools, colleges, and universities. However, the Practice is open to considering Building Surveyors from other sectors who can demonstrate relevant technical skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level surveyor to become an integral part of a growing and modern Consultancy that is on an upward trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members
  • Contribute to business development and growth initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree qualification in Building Surveying or Construction Management
  • MRICS qualification or close to achieving
  • Proven track record as a Building Surveyor in a consultancy or client-side environment
  • Experience working through RIBA Stages
  • Commercial surveying experience, including Pre-Acquisition surveys, Dilapidations, Party Wall Disputes, and Landlord & Tenant services
  • Procurement knowledge and experience with tenders and contractor negotiations
