Senior Exposure Management Analyst

This position is ideal for individuals with a background in Exposure Management within the Insurance sector, providing an opportunity to shape the analytical framework during a pivotal time for the organization.

An exciting role has emerged within the Exposure Management Team at Aviva. This position will facilitate the oversight of our exposures across various lines of business underwritten by UKGI on a global scale.

Exposure Management Pricing and Insight (EP&I) consists of technical experts across all commercial lines. The team plays a central role in numerous initiatives within Aviva, engaging with various UK and Global Business units, including GCS, SME, Digital, Claims, Risk Management, and Actuarial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of exposure data utilizing both third-party and proprietary platforms, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and compliance with internal guidelines in relation to Aviva's Risk appetite. Communicate relevant findings effectively to the responsible underwriters.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters to convey portfolio aggregations within each class and across the organization.
  • Assist in the enhancement of Aviva's exposure management methodologies for non-modelled perils/territories and refine existing techniques.
  • Support the group rollup process and related reporting requirements for the Commercial division.
  • Demonstrate a proven history of data auditing. Perform data quality analytics and work alongside underwriters to enhance the completeness, resolution, and appropriateness of key data inputs.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience within an Exposure Management team and a solid understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance.
  • Hands-on experience with portfolio roll-up, establishing control frameworks, MI design, reporting, and communication.
  • Strong grasp of essential mathematical and statistical concepts, including Cat metrics such as PMLs and AALs.
  • Experience working within a suitable control framework to ensure the reliable delivery of figures for reporting is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities, are essential.

  • Starting salary range: London £50,000 to £75,000, National £40,000 to £50,000 (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
