Senior Exposure Management Analyst

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals with a background in Exposure Management within the Insurance sector to influence the analytical framework during a pivotal time for the organization.

An exciting position has become available in the Exposure Management Team at Aviva. This role is crucial in overseeing our exposures across various lines of business operated by UKGI globally.

Exposure Management Pricing and Insight (EP&I) consists of technical experts across all commercial lines. The team plays a central role in numerous initiatives within Aviva, engaging with all UK and Global Business units, including GCS, SME, Digital, Claims, Risk Management, and Actuarial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and scrutinize exposure data utilizing third-party and proprietary platforms and tools, ensuring data quality, precision, and compliance with internal guidelines in relation to Aviva's Risk appetite. Communicate significant findings effectively to the relevant underwriters.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters to convey portfolio aggregations within each class and across the organization.
  • Assist in the enhancement of Aviva's exposure management methodologies for non-modelled perils/territories and the refinement of existing techniques.
  • Support the group rollup process and related reporting requirements for the Commercial division.
  • Demonstrate a proven history of data auditing. Conduct data quality analytics and partner with underwriters to enhance the completeness, resolution, and appropriateness of essential data inputs.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience within an Exposure Management team, with a solid understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance.
  • Hands-on experience in portfolio roll-up, establishing control frameworks, MI design, reporting, and communication.
  • Strong grasp of key mathematical and statistical principles, as well as Cat metrics such as PMLs and AALs.
  • Experience working within a suitable control framework to ensure reliable delivery of figures for reporting is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, along with strong verbal and written communication skills, are essential.

  • Starting salary: London range of £50,000 to £75,000, National range of £40,000 to £50,000 (based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
