About the Role

Capital One Corporate Treasury is seeking a seasoned professional to lead a small team responsible for performing treasury activities, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, payments, funding, and investment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of 4 associates responsible for all UK treasury activities
  2. Own the UK Treasury control environment and ensure flawless execution of activities
  3. Develop and present materials, analysis, and presentations to senior leaders, including the business line CFO and Corporate Treasurer
  4. Manage funding and investment decisions for the business, including overnight deposit decisions with banking partners
  5. Identify process improvements and automation opportunities, and implement changes to enhance efficiency
  6. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including UK Finance teams, US Treasury team, and external partners
  7. Monitor payment and cash flow trends to identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate these
  8. Collaborate with US partners on long-term treasury strategy to ensure consistency at the Enterprise level
  9. Develop a horizontal mindset to understand the international risk environment and make informed decisions
  10. Lead initiatives impacting the UK treasury function and provide proactive communication and reporting to partners
  11. Invest in continuous learning and talent development for associates
Requirements
  1. Experience in Treasury or other operationally centered functions
  2. People leadership experience, covering performance and talent management
  3. A strong risk management mindset
  4. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks and initiatives
  5. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  6. Ability to identify and drive solutions to problems, both real-time and long-term
  7. Confident communicator and proven ability to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  8. Ability to take ownership of the role and set the context from the outset
