About the Role
Capital One is seeking a seasoned Financial Operations Leader to join its UK Treasury team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading a small group of associates in performing treasury activities, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, payments, funding, and investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 4 associates in executing treasury activities, ensuring flawless execution and maintaining a strong control environment.
- Develop and present analysis and materials for the ALCO (Asset Liability Committee) to senior leaders, including the business line CFO and Corporate Treasurer.
- Manage funding and investment decisions for the business, including overnight deposit decisions with banking partners.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including UK Finance teams, US Treasury team, and external partners.
- Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them, bringing an analytical eye to payment and cash flow trends.
- Closely collaborate with US partners on long-term treasury strategy to ensure consistency at the Enterprise level.
- Bring a horizontal mindset and willingness to understand the international risk environment to make informed decisions.
- Lead initiatives impacting the UK treasury function and provide proactive communication and reporting to partners.
- Invest in talent and performance of associates to ensure long-term retention and career development.
Requirements
- Experience in Treasury or other operationally centered functions.
- People leadership experience, covering both performance and talent management.
- A strong risk management mindset.
- Ability to identify and drive solutions to problems, both real-time and long-term.
