Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced X86 Server Hardware Specialist to join our team at Myles Roberts. As a key member of our technical team, you will provide expert guidance and knowledge when defining technical direction of x86 server hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise on x86 Server Hardware and components, including Dell, Lenovo, and HPE, with a focus on large, complex enterprise estates.
  • Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of common remote server management software, including iDRAC, XCC, and iLO.
  • Certify the overlaying Windows, RedHat, and ESXi operating system products on x86 server hardware.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed teams, including 3rd party vendors, to ensure seamless integration and support.
  • Work closely with our Clients' Product Management teams to provide expert guidance and knowledge when defining technical direction of x86 server hardware.
  • Support vendor engagement, including service escalation, ongoing relationship management, and support the business by understanding available x86 hardware bundles, firmware/microcode release cycle.
  • Act as a key technical bridge between business, architecture, and engineering teams, as well as vendors.

Requirements

  • Proficient in x86 Server Hardware and components, including Dell, Lenovo, and HPE, with experience of large, complex enterprise estates.
  • Deep technical understanding of common remote server management software, including iDRAC, XCC, and iLO.
  • Experience in certifying the overlaying Windows, RedHat, and ESXi operating system products on x86 server hardware.
  • In-depth experience of dealing with Security and Compliance, preferably within a large financial institution.
  • Experience of working with agile practices and toolsets, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to work with globally distributed teams, including 3rd party vendors.
  • Proven experience in Compute, Hypervisors, Storage, Networks.
