JOB OPPORTUNITY:
Temporary Credit Control Specialist

Join our client's dynamic and vibrant team as a Credit Control Specialist on a temporary basis. This role offers an exciting chance to demonstrate your outstanding credit management abilities and contribute significantly to our client's finance department.

There is potential for this position to be extended and possibly transition into a permanent role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure precise and timely generation of invoices for both intercompany and external clients, including necessary updates to customer portals.
  • Facilitate prompt payment of invoices through effective collection strategies.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and maintain comprehensive records of all communications.
  • Work closely with management and sales teams to address non-payment issues.
  • Manage the customer 'stop' list and resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Provide insightful analysis on monthly aged debtor reports.
  • Review bank accounts for incoming payments and allocate them accurately.
  • Assist in reconciling intercompany balances and ensure adherence to credit management policies.
  • Conduct reviews of credit limits and gather necessary documentation for compliance.
  • Clear blocked sales orders and undertake additional tasks as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit control and Accounts Receivable within a large organization.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables).
  • Solid numeracy skills and a good understanding of accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with VAT regulations and knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage challenging customer interactions regarding payments.
  • Promote a positive atmosphere within the finance team.
  • Partner with internal/external auditors and key business partners.

  • Senior Sales & General Management.
  • GL Accountants, Finance Managers, Financial Controllers, and Business Partners.
  • Customers, banks, and credit agencies.
  • Internal and External Auditors.
