About the Role:
Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and dedicated Domestic Assistant to join their team. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out cleaning and domestic duties to a high standard, adhering to Trust policies and national cleaning standards.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high standards of cleaning within both clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Provide a cleaning service in accordance with approved methods, standards, and frequencies.
- Support terminal cleans and infection cleans, ensuring conversance with infection control procedures.
- Remove and clean up uncontained body fluid spillages in line with Trust policy and national cleaning standards.
- Use cleaning equipment, machinery, and cleaning materials once trained and able to spot defects with machinery and report to Supervisor.
- Undertake Bioquell Q50-HPV decontamination duties and be fully compliant with all methods and responsibilities of using this system.
- Adept a flexible approach when undertaking domestic duties.
Person Specification:
- Ability to demonstrate use of industrial cleaning machinery.
- Ability to demonstrate general knowledge of cleaning and its importance within the hospital environment.
