Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Import Export Manager to join our team in East London. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth import and export of our luxury goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import/Export Management: Control inward IPR shipments, ensuring correct customs procedures are used. Conduct 100% quality checks on inward products within 24 hours of their arrival.
  • Logistics and Distribution: Manage the distribution team to ensure orders are delivered to a high standard (product and packaging), safely and on time.
  • Stock Management: Update and manage aspects of the Production Report. Manage in-house corporate personalizing and engraving schedules. Track and chase inward shipments from suppliers, escalating issues where necessary to ensure shipments arrive on time.
  • Warehouse Management: Ensure all workshop shipments are passed on to the workshop team for QC and labelling before storing. Ensure stock items are protected and stored appropriately, and the warehouse is always kept neat and orderly.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Record all stock movements; track and control samples, including high-value and bespoke items. Perform quarterly stock takes, investigate any differences, and report results.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Develop and mentor distribution team staff. Provide accurate and timely delivery quotes to the sales team, identifying different options and costs, including allowances for duties and taxes.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Highly experienced in customs, imports, and exports.
  • Stock Management: Proven stock management experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to develop and mentor distribution team staff.
  • Technical Skills: Strong IT skills and knowledge.
  • Personal Qualities: Ambitious, driven, and motivated. Excellent attention to detail. Desire to deliver a world-class service.
