About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Financial Management team at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our monthly management accounts and providing financial stewardship to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a range of budget reports, directorate summaries, and accompanying analysis for the Care Group, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and complete journals, budget amendments, and other financial transactions on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in maintaining the budgeting system, producing annual staff budgets, reconciliations, and inputting budgets into the General Ledger.
  • Support the Deputy Finance Business Partner and Care Group in investigating budget variances, producing activity statistics, and liaising with HR and Payroll.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date establishment records, ensuring pay expenditure remains within budgeted establishment.
  • Ensure all work and contact with third parties is to professional standards, with full regard for confidentiality.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • AAT Part- Qualified and minimum of 2 years' experience in financial management.
  • Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Oracle Discoverer.
  • Excellent prioritisation, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibly to deal with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
