About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our client's team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a growing and thriving manufacturing company in Kent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Accurately process company payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate calculations of all payments and deductions.
  • Timesheet Verification: Check and process timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
  • Payment Management: Ensure all relevant payments are made according to set timescales, to both employees and other appropriate entities.
  • Payroll Reconciliations: Complete necessary payroll month-end reconciliations.
  • Pension Scheme Management: Process the company pension schemes according to auto-enrolment legislation and ensure accurate submissions within deadlines.
  • Payroll Reporting: Process payroll year-end reporting according to relevant legislation and within deadlines as set by internal and external requirements.
  • Payroll Documentation: Prepare and issue all relevant periodic or occasional payroll documentation, such as P60s and P11Ds, according to HMRC or other deadlines.
Requirements
  • Excel Skills: Proficiency in Excel for payroll calculations and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities to interact with staff and members effectively.
  • Payroll Experience: Previous experience of running end-to-end payroll is desirable, but not essential.
