Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Recovery Worker to join our team at Turning Points drug & alcohol services.
As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in Wakefield and district to achieve their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one support to service users, helping them to set and work towards their recovery goals
* Work closely with other professionals, such as healthcare workers and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive support package
* Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations to promote the service and provide opportunities for service users
Requirements:
* A strong understanding of the principles of recovery and the impact of substance misuse on individuals and communities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and other stakeholders
* A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
