About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 Registered Nurse to join our dynamic recovery units as a Clinical Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to build experience and skills as a leader in Recovery, with a focus on providing excellent care to patients and their families within the recovery environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as a Clinical Specialist and expert role model within Perioperative Care Services, promoting excellent team working and ensuring safe, effective, research-based patient care.
  • Deputise for the Band 7 team in their absence, taking on management responsibilities, including bed management, staff management, sickness management, and roster management.
  • Assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care without supervision, ensuring a caring working environment for staff to maximise their potential and develop skills in clinical practice, teaching, and management.
  • Facilitate change and assist in establishing new policies and protocols, supporting other recovery areas and promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
