About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice, you will play a key role in maintaining all TGW products and third-party equipment, including planned maintenance and breakdowns.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Support the delivery of contracted KPIs by ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and systems.
  2. Conduct electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  3. Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on TGW and third-party products to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with the automation team to optimize system performance and ensure customer orders are not missed.
  5. Attend customer meetings to provide updates on automation and equipment performance.
  6. Identify and implement continuous improvement activities to increase the reliability of TGW and third-party assets.
  7. Investigate and resolve equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  8. Coordinate planned preventive maintenance activities with customers to ensure seamless execution.
  9. Mentor and train colleagues on engineering practices and procedures.
  10. Manage automation breakdowns and escalations, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption.
  11. Comply with all current and future health and safety legislation, maintaining a safe working environment.
About You
  1. You will have a minimum NVQ level 3/BTEC ONC/HNC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Previous experience in an operational engineering role within a similar environment is essential.
  3. You will possess proficient communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  4. You will be able to work in a time-critical environment and adapt to flexible shift patterns.
  5. You will have demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience working with Warehouse Management Systems.
