Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Innovate Recruitment Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive and reactive maintenance of warehouse systems, supporting the technical department with planning, instruction, and supervision, and using the Agility maintenance system to record activities and suggest improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of warehouse systems.
  • Collaborate with the technical department to plan and implement maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
  • Use the Agility maintenance system to record and track maintenance activities.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and place orders as required.
  • Coordinate complex repairs and overhauls.
  • Schedule mechanics and operators, track disruptions, and ensure safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with departments to ensure timely actions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar industry.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in mechanical and electrical fields.
  • Experience with PLC and PC-controlled automated systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
