Omega Resource Group is currently collaborating with a leading designer, developer, and manufacturer of advanced weapon systems, seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. In this role, you will provide essential support to the operations team within the manufacturing environment.

This position offers an opportunity to enhance your expertise in manufacturing as we evolve towards future advancements.

Key Responsibilities – Manufacturing Engineer

• Support current manufacturing processes and facilitate new product introductions
• Assist in the industrial validation process utilizing FMEA, process proving activities, etc.
• Manage configuration control by integrating design modifications into manufacturing documentation and validation processes
• Aid in the non-conformance management
• Ensure production adheres to safety, efficiency, and economic considerations
• Take responsibility for safe implementation of modified processes, collaborating with COSHH assessors, SHE, and human factors
• Coordinate with design authorities during product prototype and development phases to ensure optimized Design for Manufacture (DfM)
• Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions while maintaining production BOMs
• Oversee tooling development and management
Qualifications & Requirements – Manufacturing Engineer

• Completion of a formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21
• Possession of a formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline OR a BEng in a pertinent Engineering Degree
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated proactive problem-solving skills and commitment to meeting delivery objectives
• Capability to interpret Design Drawings for the creation of Manufacturing Build Instructions
• Must be able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with digital communication platforms to facilitate effective workplace communication
