Job Description

**Job Title:** Product Evaluation Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Product Evaluation Specialist to join our team at Dixons Carphone. As a Product Evaluation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Risk Assessment Database: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk assessment database to identify potential risks associated with each product category and supplier.
  • Structured Evaluation Process: You will work with buying teams and manufacturers to develop a structured evaluation process for each product type, based on risk and performance history.
  • Supply Chain Management: You will work closely with buying teams and manufacturers to ensure that branded evaluation and documentation checks are embedded into the purchasing critical path, while supporting the buying process and introducing confidence in the supply chain.
  • Product Safety and Recall: You will monitor internal and external safety investigations and product recalls to ensure swift action is taken to prevent or remove unsafe products from the business.

Requirements:

  • Experience: You will need some experience of product development, safety requirements, and quality management procedures.
  • Skills: You will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, physics, or chemistry, would be advantageous.
