Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEND Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning Ltd. as a SEND Specialist. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who have a variety of additional needs, providing individualized support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children with additional needs in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theories, research methodologies, and ethical practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using relevant software or tools for data analysis or research purposes
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo the process
