Key Responsibilities

Strategic Fundraising Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve ambitious income generation targets.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and volunteers to drive fundraising efforts and enhance the RCP's profile.
  • Enhance fundraising comms strategy and produce high-quality digital and hardcopy materials to showcase donor contributions and project impact.

Major Gifts and Philanthropy

  • Plan and execute a programme of engagement with international major gift prospects, including those based outside the UK.
  • Facilitate the work of development committee members in advising on strategy, monitoring progress, and introducing new prospects.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Support the development of fundraising skills among colleagues, including direct reports and senior colleagues involved in making asks.
  • Maximise the fundraising potential of the RCP's heritage collections and grow fundraising income from the museum, archive, and library.

About You

  • A proven track record of effective fundraising leadership, including substantive major gift experience and influencing at senior levels.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills, with the ability to create and sustain trusted relationships with major philanthropic partners.
  • Strong organisational skills to maximise outcomes against multiple competing priorities.
