Your Responsibilities

As the Director of Strategic Governance, you will oversee the Strategic Governance team, collaborating closely with the Carbon Lead and the Social & Human Value Lead. Reporting directly to the ESG Director, a member of the Strategic Leadership Team at Hoare Lea, you will have a direct impact on the growth and strategic direction of our ESG capabilities and services.
Your team will provide high-quality advice to prominent real estate and built environment organizations, assisting them in developing strategies that enhance value creation while driving financial, social, and environmental success.

  • Strategy Development: Designing tailored strategies and frameworks that align business goals with environmental and social success.
  • Evaluation & Reporting: Enhancing ESG performance through effective reporting systems that communicate progress and aspirations to stakeholders, fostering transparency and accountability.
  • Implementation: Converting strategies into actionable plans to ensure effective execution at all levels.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience in ESG within the built environment and real estate sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in an ESG leadership capacity within a corporate environment.
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Sustainable Finance, ESG, Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability, or a similar field.
  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sustainability practices, industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulations.
  • Pragmatic approach to enhancing ESG practices and formulating practical strategies.
